It's been a long time coming - but there is finally some good things happening in Madison County!
The Corporate for Economic Development reports that they are seeing business interest from various industrial sectors that have both a domestic and international presence.
Recent activity in Madison County includes:
* CED completed Phase I and II Environmental Reports and received a "No Further Action: letter on the former Plastech property on SR 37, which jump started the process to market and sell the parcel.
* EON Windfarm's $200 Million project has begun construction on their state of the art wind energy development in the north western part of Madison County
* TeleServices Direct announced their decision to move to the Flagship Industrial Park for their new 180 employee Call Center.
* Nestle continues to expand their beverage distribution facility in the Flagship Park. They have more than doubled their original anticipated employee count, currently employing 680 and investing over $600 Million.
