Walnut Creek Colf Course is in the final 3 for the 2011 Course of the Year award from the National Golf Course Owners Association. It is competing with Hidden Valley in Norco, CA and Thunder Canyon in Washoe Valley, NV. The winner is announced on 2/9/11.
This award recognizes a member who demonstrates exceptional management and makes significant contributions to the game of golf. Walnut Creek had to first win the Course of the Year award from their State Chapter.
Owner Randy Ballinger and Marion Mayor Wayne Seybold are both thrilled to have their local business in the running for this national honor. They are looking forward to attending the February Conference in Florida where the winner will be announced.
"This is a dream come true for us. Who would have though that our family business would be competing with golf destinations like Hidden Valley and Thunder Canyon?"
After the snow melts - all you golfers better schedule a trip to Marion, Indiana and tee up with the best!
