The International Center - A Catalyst for a global Indiana

Does your company or organization need a guide to the world's cultural landscape?

Our department was honored to attend the Annual Meeting for The International Center (IC).  We have been involved with them over the last couple years providing assistance for finding housing for incoming international employees.

The IC is a resource for people with international needs and helps communities welcome and connect people of all cultures.  Their programs and services reflect their values : to understand, promote and celebrate diversity, to demonstrate uncompromising readiness to assist people facing cultural challenges and to create a community that embraces and values people from diverse cultural backgrounds and improve our community by enabling individuals we serve to contribute proactively and productively.

These challenges are nothing new for The IC.  They are now entering their fourth decade of service to Indianapolis and throughout Indiana and beyond.

As the Indiana affiliate for the National Council for International Visitors (NCIV), the International Center designs and facilitiates custom-tailored programs that meet visitors' professional goals and objectives, provides cultural activities, arranges home hospitality, and makes all logistical arrangements during their stay in Indiana.

Did you know......The number of foreign languages spoken in the homes of English language learners new to Indiana totals 231, up from 178 in 1993.

They are an amazing resource and have helped to open the doors of Indiana to the world. You can get involved by volunteering to host foreign dignitaries in your home.
