Job creations in Indiana

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) is reporting more than 19,000 jobs were created in the state this year, nearly 700 more than 2008. But Indiana Secretary of Commerce Mitch Roob says investment dropped from more than $4 billion last year, to slightly more than $2 billion in 2009. He says the driving force behind the job growth in a tough economic climate has been consolidations. Roob says Indiana will continue to entice companies to consolidate operations in the state next year.
