According to the EIA (Energy Information Administration) we are going to have a milder winter (October - March) along with high gas inventories should lead to lower heating costs this season.
Here in the midwest, and in particular the Indianapolis Metro area - about 70% of homes are heated with natural gas. Savings estimates have been quoted between 10%-25% for natural gas users - but don't quote me!! Propane users will evidently be the biggest winners with the largest drop in price and savings. Electric and oil users will still see a savings but probably not in the double digits.
In this time of economic woes and worries - at least this might make the Holiday season a little more festive!!!
