Central Indiana Buyer and Seller Profile


61% of home buyers had no children under the age of 18 residing in the home.


The median price of homes purchased was $155,000 compared to $204,00 in the US.


One out of every five homes sold was purchased by a single female.


First time home buyers accounted for 38% of recent home purchases.


Only 5% of those surveyed stated they wished they had waited to buy.


One out of every four homes purchased was new construction.


Recent home buyers plan to live in their home a median of 10 years.


4% of home buyers reported they were born outside of the US, compared to 9% nationally


Commuting costs were considered as very or somewhat important by 78% of buyers.
