Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning is donating his time to represent the state's largest city. He has an agreement with the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association to be included on the organization's Web site and in targeted messages to convention and meeting planners and travelers. The strategy involves email, direct mail and print advertising campaigns.


Signature Indiana Dish Named 'World's Spiciest Food'

The shrimp cocktail at St. Elmo Steak House in Indianapolis now has bragging rights as the world's spiciest food. Food critic and Travel Channel blogger Alison Stein Wellner says even she was "puzzled by Indianapolis' come-from-nowhere triumph" after traveling all regions of the world on a quest to find the spiciest cuisine. St. Elmo says the culinary concoction is made daily by grating 20 pounds of horseradish. The Travel Channel may feature the dish as part of a show on the world's most potent epicurean delights.


Discovery Channel to Highlight Indiana Glass Company

Kokomo Opalescent Glass will be featured on the Discovery Channel's new program "How Stuff is Made." A crew from the show spent Friday shooting footage of the sheet glass production plant. The segment, set to air in November, will reveal the step by step process of hand made art glass, which the company says little has changed since its inception in 1888
